The Basics

Location: Statesville, NC

Compensation: $23.50/hr and up

Days/Hours: This will be a 2nd shift job, 2:30pm to 11:30pm, Mon-Fri, with some overtime. You will work every other weekend for at least one day. These hours may vary, depending on business needs.

Equipment Used: Tractors and trailers, hoses, housekeeping items

Material Handled: Bulk flour

What You’ll Be Doing

The primary duties of this job will include loading truck trailers with bulk flour. This will include collecting samples for the lab to analyze, completing all necessary paperwork, sealing all hatches, hoses and transfers points and performing regular cleaning and maintenance on the equipment used. As with most jobs at a flour mill, housekeeping will be an ongoing duty for this position. You are responsible for food safety.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to back trailers
• Able to drive a manual transmission
• CDL preferred, but not required
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
