About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team on a per diem basis. As an OTA, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to design and implement personalized therapy plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans
- Providing direct patient care, including exercises, activities, and interventions
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care for our residents
- Adhering to established protocols and standards for occupational therapy services
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents in a post-acute care setting
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify resident needs and goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address these needs and goals
- Implement occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities
- Document resident progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team, residents, and families
