Quality Release Engineer

Position Description

• Develop and implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers meet or exceed corporate standards for launch, quality, capacity, warranty, and vehicle delivery.
• Lead cross-functional decision-making with Ford and supplier leadership to resolve open issues.
• Drive actions to achieve zero vehicle losses due to supplier issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions during emergency supplier situations.
• Ensure adherence to Ford standards (e.g., Q1 certification).
• Assess and validate manufacturing feasibility at designated supplier sites.
• Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Utilize data, metrics, and business plans to influence future sourcing decisions and improve quality.
• Provide leadership during on-site emergency situations to implement corrective actions promptly.
