About The Role
The Barry Callebaut local truck driver will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation of all Barry Callebaut goods throughout the Barry Callebaut network. This is a private fleet operation.
Working hours: Monday to Friday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Barry Callebaut local truck driver will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation of all Barry Callebaut goods throughout the Barry Callebaut network. This is a private fleet operation.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Safety compliance- Following all safety regulations related to truck operation, including all regulations concerning local, state, and federal regulations.
- Driving-To safely transport Barry Callebaut materials from within your working state. This would include traveling to and from any Barry Callebaut manufacturing sites, warehouses, and vendors professionally.
- Ensure accuracy of all Bill Of Ladings, by ensuring that products are of and for Barry Callebaut and the accuracy of same, and pick-up and delivery as instructed.
- Conduct Pre/Post trip inspections- They are mandatory for commercial motor vehicle drivers, requiring them to check key components like service brakes, parking brakes, steering mechanism, lights, tires, horns, windshield wipers, rear-vision mirrors, and coupling devices before operating the vehicle, ensuring the vehicle is in safe working order.
- Route Planning- Familiarizing oneself with routes, navigating through different areas, and adjusting to changing traffic conditions.
- Documentation-Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and other necessary paperwork.
- Customer service-Interacting with customers at delivery points, ensuring timely deliveries and the utmost professionalism.
- FMCSA HOS- Driver must know, understand, and practice all Hours of Service rules and regulations for North America
- High school diploma or equivalent, computer experience a plus.
- Understanding North American Traffic laws/DOT regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years old (DOT requirement).
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable truck driving / commercial driving experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Reefer experience.
- CDL Class A -Clean driving record, with no more than 2 moving violations within the last 2 years.
- Working knowledge of electronic logging devices for DOT FMCSA rules governing the Hours of Service.
- Listening and oral communication skills, with the ability to read and write.
- Time and Priority Management skills are required.
