Barry Bagels is looking for an early riser with great attention to detail and a love for fresh-baked bagels! Our Morning Bagel Baker is responsible for boiling and baking bagels to our quality standards. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that sets the tone for the day and ensures our customers enjoy the freshest bagels possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ovens, kettle, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary baking area throughout the shift
- Bake bagels needed for morning opening
- Monitor bagel quantities and prepare product based on shop demand
- Monitor product quality and consistency to meet Barry Bagels’ standards
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous baking, food production, or kitchen experience preferred (bagel or bread experience a plus)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a 5am shift
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality and cleanliness standards
