Responsibilities

The Solution Architect will support Barrow Wise's State of Illinois project and perform the following duties:

• Design cutting-edge solutions that harness the power of our tech stack: Java, J2EE, SQL Server, ESB, JBOSS, Spring, Hibernate, Node JS, Angular JS, and View JS.
• Describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of the software to project stakeholders.
• Establish project features, development phases, and comprehensive solution requirements that guide the team throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop a solution playbook that details implementation strategies, architecture, workflows, and APIs.
• Work closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and secure buy-in, fostering a team spirit to drive projects forward.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal application performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to application development and changes. - Ensure best practices in software development are followed, including code quality and security.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Work remotely, or in Chicago, IL/Rockville, MD
  
  

An Ideal Candidate Has The Following

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree
• Eight years of experience as a Solution Architect
• Eight years designing solutions with Java, J2EE, SQL Server, etc.
• A passion for problem-solving and a commitment to quality

Salary: $70000 - $150000 per year
