Duties
- Position Purpose: Under the general direction of the Plant Director and/or other management, incumbent will assist in completing various tasks/projects to include light janitorial, lawn work, etc.
- Examples of Essential Job Functions
- Operate mowing tractor, push mower and/or weed whip to perform lawn work.
- Picking up trash outdoors and maintaining a tidy appearance around facility.
- Operate light equipment (mower, weed whip)
- Perform light maintenance duties to include painting, washing windows sweeping and janitorial work.
- Cutting and/or chipping brush
- Monitor safety equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Requirements of Work: Must be at least 18 years of age. Prior labor experience preferred. Maintain regular, reliable and predictable on-site job attendance.
- Physical and Environmental Factors: Physical demands of this position will vary from day to day and are highly dependent on the particular function being preformed. Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and 25 to 50 pounds frequently is required. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, standing, crouching, and kneeling required. Able to stand/be on feet for long periods. Exposure to all weather conditions to include heat, rain, cold, dust, dirt, loud noises, etc. Ear, eye and head protection required and will be furnished by the County.
- Work may be cancelled due to weather conditions. Employees will contact prior to reporting for work on wet days. Employees may be released from work early during adverse weather.
Pay: Up to $16.50 per hour
