What are the responsibilities and job description for the Call Center-Order Desk CSR Rep position at Barrington Staffing Services?
Experience in a call center or order processing position handling calls for quotes and inbound order placement. Experience in a retail special order desk for a supplier of remodeling/home improvement products works, too.
Most of your day is on the phone working with customers for product questions and availability, entering and processing orders, follow-up calls with customers, and a variety of clerical duties. Good aptitude with measurements and basic math skills. Some troubleshooting duties.
Temporary to start with a chance to be hired on as a regular employee. Punctual and reliable work ethic is necessary. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am-5pm, and Wednesday from 7am-5pm (1 hour overtime). Company works 1 or 2 Saturdays per quarter. Saturdays are often overtime pay.
Skills needed:
- Touch typing above 30wpm
- MS Outlook email, basic Excel, and basic Word skills
- Basic math calculations & measurement experience
- Manual and digital recordkeeping
- Follow-up skills
- Keen attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED/Equivalent
$19.25/hr. starting pay, increases to $20.00/hr. if hired as a regular employee, with an opportunity to learn product lines & test for proficiency with small pay increases upon satisfactory completion/passing test for each product line mastered. Nice benefits, too.
