I am partnered with a global pharmaceutical currently looking to add a Controller to their finance team in support of continued operational growth and expansion.
They are seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee site-level accounting and financial operations across multiple business units. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced environment with strong cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing and finance.
You will be required to drive improvement, particularly around processes, controls, and reporting systems in a manufacturing environment, whilst gaining that broad technical exposure, covering GAAP reporting, cost accounting, forecasting, intercompany transactions, and financial planning cycles.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with government agencies
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Coordinate financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting standards
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial reporting controls
- Act as primary liaison for external auditors, supporting audit preparation, execution, and resolution of findings
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis to ensure integrity of financial data
- Maintain internal books and finances Analyze financial transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
- Life science experience preferred.
