Associate Director/Director Program Management
We’re exclusively partnered with a biopharmaceutical company operating a unique and exciting model, and are seeking an Associate Director / Director of Program Management to support and lead drug development programs within a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation with a diverse portfolio spanning both biologics and small molecules, covering end-to-end development through to commercialisation.
The role will suit someone who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle, partnering closely with scientific and operational teams to drive timelines, strategy, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead cross-functional drug development programs from early stage through to approval
- Build and manage integrated development plans, timelines, and key deliverables
- Partner closely with CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, and other functions to ensure alignment and progress
- Drive program execution, ensuring milestones are met and risks are proactively managed
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders
- Support and enhance PMO processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency across the organisation
- Help guide cross-functional teams (JPTs), ensuring strong collaboration and accountability
- Identify risks and lead problem-solving and contingency planning
- Contribute to overall development strategy, including planning, positioning, and execution
What they're looking for:
- Degree in Life Sciences or related field (Project Management experience also considered)
- 6–12 years’ experience within biotech/pharma drug development
- Experience using SmartSheet and writing project plans
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end drug development lifecycle
- Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments
- Proven ability to manage timelines, resources, and program delivery
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.)
- Level: Open to Associate Director or Director (depending on experience)
- Travel: ~10–25% (as required)
