Position Summary
The Facility Manager oversees building operations, maintenance, and production equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and fully functional environment. This role leads maintenance staff, manages vendors, drives preventative maintenance programs, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and manage the maintenance team
- Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work orders and tasks
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, staffing, and scheduling
Facility & Equipment Management
- Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building systems, and production equipment
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure equipment uptime, reliability, and facility readiness
- Maintain cleanliness and safety across all facility areas
Vendor Management
- Manage contractors and service providers (HVAC, electrical, security, OEMs)
- Negotiate contracts and control costs
- Coordinate service, inspections, and repairs
- Ensure vendor performance meets quality and safety standards
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
- Conduct inspections and maintain facility security systems
- Respond to emergencies and maintain quality standards
Budgeting & Continuous Improvement
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and CAPEX planning
- Track maintenance metrics and performance
- Drive initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
- 5 years in facilities, maintenance, or manufacturing
- 2 years of leadership experience preferred
- Experience with preventative maintenance and vendor management required
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Solid vendor management and cost control experience
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule with availability for emergencies
- Ability to lift equipment and work on feet for extended periods
