Position Overview
The Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquet service. This role works closely with the culinary team to ensure efficient operations, consistent presentation, and adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
· Assist with banquet preparation and execution
· Prepare ingredients including cutting, trimming, and portioning meats and produce
· Prepare sauces, dressings, condiments, and accompaniments
· Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workstation
· Follow food safety and sanitation standards
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
· Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
· Support kitchen operations including prep and inventory
Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience (banquet experience required)
· Fine dining experience preferred
· Knowledge of breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
· ServSafe Certification required
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work occasional overtime
· Strong teamwork and communication skills
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for extended periods
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Comfortable working in heat, steam, and cold
· Manual dexterity for kitchen tasks
