This hybrid position allows for flexibility to perform either function depending on shift assignments and business needs.Servers and Bartenders are expected to be energetic, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a busy, beer-forward restaurant and brewery setting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGuest Service & HospitalityProvide attentive, enthusiastic, and timely service to all guestsGreet customers warmly and be proactive in creating a welcoming environmentAnswer menu and beer-related questions, make recommendations, and upsell appropriatelyAccurately take and input food and drink orders using the POS system (Toast)Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure orders are correctAddress and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathyBartending DutiesMix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beveragesCheck guest identification to ensure legal drinking ageMaintain bar cleanliness, setup, and inventoryRestock bar supplies and rotate stock as neededMaintain accurate cash drawer and close out with minimal discrepanciesServer DutiesManage section efficiently, taking orders and coordinating with kitchen staffSet, reset, and clean tables and dining areas throughout shiftRun food and assist in expo line operations as neededSupport hosts, other servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of serviceAccurately process payments and maintain organized billingTeamwork & CommunicationCollaborate closely with front- and back-of-house staff for seamless serviceAttend and participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing staff trainingsCommunicate issues, guest feedback, or unusual occurrences to managementPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and maneuver kegs up to 150 lbs with team supportStand and walk for up to 8 hours per shiftPerform physical motions such as bending, stooping, balancing, and reachingWork in varied conditions: outdoor patio service, kitchen areas exceeding 90°F, walk-in coolers at 36°FREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 21 years of ageTIPS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Minimum of 1 year restaurant or hospitality experience preferred (but not required)Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with beer styles, basic mixology, and food pairing conceptsProficient with POS systems and basic mathStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDependable, organized, and detail-orientedWORK ENVIRONMENTMust be available to work nights, weekends, and holidaysShifts may include indoor and outdoor service depending on seasonTeam-based environment where flexibility and cooperation are keyBarrel One Collective is a dynamic craft beverage and hospitality company with deep roots in New England.
