Position Overview
The Merchandising Intern supports the retail execution needs of the Sales Team across the New England territory. This position reports to the AVP, Sales and in addition works closely with individual Sales personnel on daily activities.
The position provides the opportunity for professional development in outside Sales via hands-on experience at retail, working as a member of a Sales team that is closely integrated with distribution operations, and exposure to the entire sales transaction cycle from account communication, ordering, picking-loading-delivery, and retail merchandising.

The work environment is primarily in the field (metropolitan Boston) on-site at alcoholic beverage retailers
Reports To: AVP, Sales
Schedule: 40 hrs/wk between May and August

Job Duties
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Product deliveries to retail accounts
- Stock rotation
- Tastings
- Promotions
- Event samplings
- General brewery deliveries
- "Pack-outs" are large off-premise retailers
- Transfer of inventory from back-of-house storage
- Stocking shelves
- Construction of retail displays, placement of Point of Sale and other promotional materials
- Receivables collection
- Draft line maintenance, cleaning, and repair
- On- and Off-premise promotions
- Valid drivers license
- Highly reliable, self-directed, strong work ethic
- Solid communication and time management skills
- Quick learner, good problem solver
The work environment is primarily in the field (metropolitan Boston) on-site at alcoholic beverage retailers
- During work hours, constantly needs to be accessible via phone, text, or e-mail
- Moderately demanding physical labor (loading and deliveries of items up to 150lbs)
