Company Overview

Barr-Tech Composting is Eastern Washington's largest composting facility, handling thousands of inbound and outbound truckloads each year while diverting organic waste from landfills and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Scale Clerk to join our team.

Position Overview

The Scale Clerk is the first point of contact for drivers and customers and plays a critical role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. This position is responsible for accurately weighing trucks, handling basic data entry, and completing required monthly reports on time.

Key Responsibilities

· Weigh inbound and outbound trucks accurately

· Serve as the first point of contact for customers and drivers, both in person and by phone

· Answer phones and provide professional customer service

· Audit monthly totals and submit reports to HQ on time

· Perform basic data entry and recordkeeping

· Support office operations as needed

Duties may change based on operational and management needs

Qualifications

· Strong reliability and attention to detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment

· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Preferred Experience

· QuickBooks experience a plus

· Bookkeeping or accounting experienceis a plus

Compensation

· $19.00 – $22.00 per hour DOE

· 401(k) with 3% match
