As a Budtender, you’ll be the go-to guide in the cannabis world, connecting with customers, curating the perfect product match, and making sure every experience is top-tier. It’s about expertise, personal connection, and creating an exceptional experience.
Consistency is key for this position; therefore, full availability for all evening and weekend shifts is mandatory. We are currently only seeking candidates who can commit to this set schedule without variation.
This part-time position will work between 10 and 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, providing information on various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, and accessories.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about product availability, effects, and consumption methods to offer tailored recommendations.
- Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions, manage cash registers, and handle payments securely.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and local regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products, including age verification and product storage.
- Education: Educate customers about responsible use, dosage, and potential effects of different products.
- Customer Experience: Create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to enhance the customer shopping experience and assisting in maintaining the store clean and organized.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Reliable availability for opening weekday shifts and weekend shifts.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to explain products and answer customer inquiries.
- Sales Skills: Ability to engage customers and drive sales while providing excellent service in a timely manner.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure compliance with regulations and accurately manage inventory.
- Team Player:Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive work environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in cannabis knowledge and/or customer service is a plus.
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Capability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
