Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction that encourages exploration and independence.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective classroom management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships in child welfare.
- Conduct child development assessments to tailor educational activities to individual needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents.
- Lead engaging lessons in physical education, literacy education, and other foundational subjects to support comprehensive childhood development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, demonstrating strong classroom experience.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring young children.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus.
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain a nurturing environment that prioritizes child welfare.
