Job Description: Learning, growth and development around the history, mission, vision and values of Barnhill Contracting Company and the skills, roles and responsibilities associated with Project Manager/Estimators up to and through Division Managers. Deliver on or assist in the safe and effective daily operation of a single project, or multiple projects; Deliver or support project objectives and policies and monitor construction and financial activities. Take action as needed to ensure project goals, objectives and initiatives are met in alignment with the mission, vision and values of Barnhill Contracting Company. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible to learn and develop competency in all aspects of cost and control for job budget set-up and reporting, including the timely management of Accounts Payable/Receivable, change management, fair and reasonable cost negotiations. Responsible for leading a single project to implement and maintain a clean and safe work site, and to motivate performance to the highest efficiency to exceed project requirements, quality control, and productivity. Work with Project Engineer and Superintendent on high level reporting of cost and profitability. A deep understanding of all functions, roles and responsibilities of division leadership and management. A deep understanding of all safety, regulatory, permitting, equipment capacity and utilization. Learning and growth in personal leadership, leadership development and people skills. Learn and grow in all skill sets, roles and responsibilities of estimating and project management. Execute as expected on plans and specifications, takeoff and estimating assignments. Execute as expected on drilling, sampling and material analysis assignments. Execute as expected on project management assignments. Educational Level: Associate or bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experience or a four (4) year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred but not required. 2 years of construction experience NC Driver License Tasks Essential to Job Functions: Computer Skills: Word Excel Outlook HCSS/Agtek Spectrum CAD BlueBeam Basic Understanding of: Construction Technology Equipment Means and Methods Safety and Environmental Regulations (OSHA) Personal Skills: Ability to build strong working relationships.
