Freight Specialist will be responsible for:
- Coordinate and oversee movement of vehicles
- Daily communication with drivers and customers
- Driver scheduling through route optimization using TMS
- Track customer shipments
- Assist with driver compliance
- Adapting into a fast-paced work environment
- Manage all required reporting and paperwork
- Providing support to other team members as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and previous experience desired:
- Dispatch experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in the transportation industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently
- Possesses drive and initiative
- Strong attention to detail
