Pump Technician- Water Well

Job Summary
Will be required to diagnose single phase/3 phase water well pumping systems both above ground an pumping systems installed below the well seal. an preform necessary work after diagnoses using equipment necessary to complete job. Pulling unit, trenchers, augers to list a few.

Physical

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time. He/She must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, equipment, and peripherals. In addition, bending, reaching, and crouching are needed. The ability to frequently lift 50 to 100 pounds is required.

· The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of pump systems and associated equipment.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Work with hydraulics to ensure proper operation of pump systems.
• Interpret schematics and technical documentation to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Collaborate with the field service team to address customer inquiries and provide technical support.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics.
• Engage in welding tasks as required, including welding techniques.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards while working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with industrial mechanic experience preferred.
• Ability to work outside year-round in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to travel to all job sites during all phases of a project.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Valid NY Driver's License (Class B CDL Preferred).
• Flexible schedule

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
