Steel Erection Superintendent

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee structural steel erection projects from inception to completion. Projects will vary from joist and girder warehouses to beam office buildings. Headquartered in NC, the majority of projects will be from Virginia to South Carolina with occassional outliers. Travel is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be adept at supervising teams to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Compensation: $75k - 100k salary, per diem, full benefits, company truck or truck allowance.

Duties

• Lead 10-25 ironworkers through project completion.
• Install structural steel per drawings (E-sheets, Deck/Joist drawings).
• Coordinate daily with project managers, general contractors, steel fabricators, and any subcontractors.
• Attend all sub meetings.
• As needed, train apprentice ironworkers in field.
• Ensure and document QA/QC through an iPad.
• Implement safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a superintendent with knowledge of all aspects of steel erection (rigging, bolting, welding, plumbing, decking, bent plate, joist/bridging, etc.).
• Ability to read drawings (E-sheets, Joist/Deck drawings)
• Ability to operate iPad for access to drawings and submitting paperwork (daily reports, QA/QC, timekeeping, etc.)
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
