Summary/Objectives:

The Dental Services Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of all dental programs; ensures integration of dental services within Barnabas Center. Monitors and evaluates patient and program outcomes to ensure effective delivery of services. Manages personnel, clinic workflow, and provider utilization. Works with leadership (CEO, COO) to promote quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

 - Oversee day to day dental clinic operations.
 - Manage dental services, resources, and personnel.
 - Develop dental protocols in coordination with the COO.
 - Monitor and optimize dental provider utilization including schedules, chair utilization, productivity, and no-show rates.
 - Oversee dental records and Electronic Health Records systems.
 - Supervise staff, manage budgets, prepare reports, and ensure compliance and safety.

- With coordination from COO, direct disbursement of dental fund.

- Supply ordering.

- Coordination of referrals to outside providers.

- Accounts Payable.

- Support team members via facilitation of professional development opportunities for team members.

- Participate in the creation of policies/procedures as directed.

- Other duties as assigned (i.e. Data & Reports: FAFCC, Florida Blue, Financial, Compliance, etc.).

Competency (knowledge, skills, abilities): 

Strong leadership and communication skills; knowledge of dental clinical operations; ability to analyze provider utilization data; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.

Obtain and maintain CPR certification as may be required.

Participate and complete educational offerings as recommended.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages all dental employees and is responsible for their hiring, supervision, performance management, and professional development.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office and clinical dental environment using standard office and dental equipment.

Physical Demands:

Regular talking or hearing; frequent standing, walking, use of hands, and reaching.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.


Travel:

Up to 40% travel regionally; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Required Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree with five years of dental clinical operations experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field with three to five years of dental clinical operations experience. Bilingual.
