Front of House Team Member

Job Summary

Join us as a Front of House Team Member and become the welcoming face of our cozy eatery! In this energetic role, you will manage customer service, food and beverage orders, operate a POS system, and ensure a clean, organized workspace. Your enthusiasm and efficiency will help create memorable experiences for our guests. We are a small eatery that has 7-10 tables, currently only serving lunch with breakfast hours TBD. It is a friendly, local setting where teamwork, positivity, and conversational skills are celebrated.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take customer orders accurately, process cash and card transactions efficiently using Square POS system
• Preparing the dining space which includes preparing the beverage bar, water, setting tables occasionally outside, and other
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food handling areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment
• Manage food service customer order flow, ensuring timely delivery and proper food safety practices
• Support bussing and sanitation efforts to uphold health regulations

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude, active listening abilities, and strong memory recall
• Ability to handle cash register operations, process cash/credit transactions accurately
• Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a café or retail setting is a plus
• Food industry experience including serving, bussing, or food preparation is advantageous

Hourly rate does not include possible earning with tips.

Pay: $7.50 - $10.00 per hour
