What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development & Partnerships Intern position at BarkReply?
BarkReply · Part-time Internship · Miami, FL
BarkReply is an AI-powered front desk for service businesses. Our platform manages calls, texts, WhatsApp, and web inquiries, helping businesses answer customers, manage bookings, and seamlessly involve staff when needed.
We started in pet care and grooming and now support independent operators, multi-location businesses, and franchise brands. Our broader vision is to become the AI front desk for any service business built around customer conversations.
We’re looking for a Business Development & Partnerships Intern to help grow BarkReply in USA and beyond.
You’ll work directly with the founder on prospecting, partnerships, outreach, and go-to-market strategy. This is a hands-on role with meaningful responsibility from day one.

- Conduct outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person visits
- Qualify opportunities and schedule demos with decision-makers
- Manage follow-ups and maintain an organized CRM pipeline
- Research new markets, competitors, and partnership opportunities
- Help prepare sales materials and presentations
- Support customer and partner onboarding
- Track outreach, meetings, and conversion metrics
You will not be expected to close complex deals on your own. Your focus is creating qualified opportunities and helping move them through the pipeline.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers
- Proactive, resourceful, and organized
- Interested in startups, AI, SaaS, sales, or entrepreneurship
- Able to work on-site in Miami and travel locally for prospect visits

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Sales, hospitality, retail, or other customer-facing experience is a plus
- Portuguese speaking is preferred
Application review → 15–20 minute introductory call → short practical exercise → final conversation with the founder.
- We care more about initiative, communication, and ability to execute than having the perfect résumé.
