What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Lead position at Barkman Honey?
- LLead, develop, and empower our Maintenance Team to efficiently repair & maintain equipment, maintain facilities, and create sustainable improvements in a way that meets or exceeds internal and external ccustomer expectations.
JJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- You routinely evaluate the technical needs of the plant and equipment, ensuring the equipment is functioning in accordance with service requirements.
- You quickly assess the daily demands within the maintenance realm, prioritizing and delegating resources as required.
- You respond to requests quickly and maintain relations with external contractors.
- You empower your team to make decisions while challenging them to find better methods and robust solutions, and ensure that for every core task in your team’s skills matrix.
- You collaborate with a variety of managers, internal engineers, contractors, and equipment suppliers regarding various projects.
- You ensure that your team maintains quality records accurately, consistently conducts quality inspections and notifies you if something doesn’t look quite right.
- You use internal systems to ensure that we maintain an adequate inventory of critical parts, and to track scheduled maintenance on equipment. You order parts as needed, and ensure timely ddelivery of these parts
- You oversee new equipment installation, preventative maintenance (PM's), lock-out tag-out procedures, and all maintenance and repair tasks, to ensure machines are functioning efficiently.
TOOLKIT/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- You have 3-5 years maintenance experience including welding and electrical.
- You can efficiently use various power and hand tools including welders and torches.
- You are an effective communicator and value teamwork. You provide a high level of service and support for internal customers.
- You are conscious of safety and have your forklift certification.
