What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and QA Coordinator (Utah) position at BARKLEY SEED INC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Sales and QA Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance team and the Intermountain West Sales Division sales team. This individual will work closely with the Facilities & Operations Manager on a daily basis.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with sales team to create sales contracts and orders as needed
- Meet with operations and QA team routinely to ensure all sales forecast and shipping schedules are met
- Create production journals to meet sales forecast on a timely basis
- Assign lot numbers to sales orders
- Assign output lot numbers for all production journal orders
- Manage clean seed inventory, backup to QA assistant manager
- Work with QA Manager to design, create and, print all tags/placards for mill orders
- Back up scale clerk when needed
- Order all supplies related to harvest, mill activities, and production order process
- As needed, help with following daily tasks:
- Daily seed sample shipping to seed labs
- Assist, with ordering certification tags from state Crop Improvement Associations
- Supply lab results to sales, customers and 3rd party
- Request inventory items
- Support QA team with equipment inspections when needed
- Assist management with activities related to quality assurance as follows:
- ACIA and other 3rd party audits
- Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and work instruction revisions
- Inspections and or scoring of incoming of raw material

Qualifications:EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 5 years of experience in sales coordination and Quality Control measure
- Proficientcy in computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Business Suite including Business Central (NAV)
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
- High School diploma or equivalent, College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license

- Strong organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying and loading up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and climbing if needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work environment approximately 50% in doors and 50% outdoors
- Prolonged periods of computer work done indoors
