Job Summary:
Bargeway Pub is on the lookout for a reliable and hard-working Dishwasher to bolster our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to manage time efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our culinary team has a spotless workspace to create delicious dishes. You'll be at the heart of our operations, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining it in good working condition.
- Assist with kitchen tasks such as prepping ingredients, as needed, to support the culinary team.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, kitchen, and storage areas, following sanitation standards.
- Manage garbage disposal and recycling in accordance with restaurant policies.
- Assist in receiving and organizing supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure a seamless operation and a high level of kitchen hygiene.
- Perform additional cleaning tasks to maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Work under the guidance of kitchen management to meet the restaurant’s operational needs.
Requirements:
- No formal education required.
- Previous experience in a dishwashing role preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with using dishwashing equipment.
- A strong commitment to hygiene and cleanliness.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
