What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transaction Coordinator position at Barclay Group?
Barclay Group is seeking a full-time Transaction Coordinator in the busy Phoenix, Arizona office under the direction of the Executive Vice President and Transaction Manager. This position will provide support to the Transaction Team that handles commercial real estate transactions in Arizona and throughout the United States.
The Transaction Coordinator will provide support and assistance on multiple transactions throughout the total transaction process, including but not limited to, contract drafts, opening escrows, tracking critical dates through the feasibility period and closings transactions, with follow up and follow-through on outstanding and post-closing items.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Transaction Team throughout all aspects required in multiple transaction processes
- Maintaining electronic files, ensuring information is organized and accessible
- Ability to read and interpret documents including real estate contracts, leases, and settlement statements
- Proofread to edit and correct text to ensure correct property information, grammar and syntax
- Assist with coordinating and tracking progress to meet critical deadlines and report status frequently
- Ability to prioritize and complete projects accurately and effectively with follow through as needed
- Track and follow-up on post-closing obligations
- Ability to work with multiple people and projects at one time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical and documentation skills
- Must be organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work as a team player
- Dependable, motivated, ambitious, takes pride in their work
- Composed and calm presence in a high stress, time-sensitive situation
- Duties can include those of a clerical and administrative nature
- Take on special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- College education preferred in Business or related field (will consider industry related work experience as a substitute)
- 1-2 years of professional experience in commercial real estate industry, transaction management, or escrow/title
- Active Arizona State Real Estate License (or ability to acquire one within 6 months of start)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word, Outlook, and Excel
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday – full time in Phoenix office 40 hours per week during typical business hours
