The Strategy & Performance Supervisor owns strategic performance management, ensuring strategy is measurable, transparent, and continuously improved through insights and learning. This role defines scorecards, consolidates outcomes into insights, and supports leadership decisions with fact based analysis.
Reporting & Scope
- Reports to: Strategy & Planning Manager
- Key interfaces: Finance, IT/Data, Commercial/Sales, Supply Chain/Operations, Customer Service, Strategy Execution (PMO)
Core Responsibilities
A) Strategic Performance System
- Define, maintain, and govern strategy level KPIs and targets.
- Ensure consistent metric definitions across functions and projects (“single source of truth”).
- Build and maintain dashboards/scorecards for leadership reviews.
B) Insights & Decision Support
- Provide regular performance insights: trends, root causes, risks, leading indicators.
- Run scenario analyses and identify implications for strategy adjustments.
- Provide early warnings and recommendations to leadership.
C) Project Scorecards & Outcome Measurement
- Design and maintain project scorecards aligned to strategic objectives and value targets.
- Ensure each project has:
- Outcome KPIs (not just activity metrics)
- Baselines, targets, and measurement cadence
- Aggregate projects outputs into enterprise level reporting.
- Enable performance based decisions: reprioritization, investment shifts, stop/start/continue.
D) Cross Pillar Performance Alignment
- Partner with functional areas and IT to ensure data availability, quality, and automation where possible.
Success Measures
- Adoption and reliability of strategy & projects scorecards
- Improved decision velocity and clarity in leadership reviews
- Reduction in metric disputes; consistency across functions
- Evidence of strategy/projects adjustments driven by insights (closed loop learning)
- 5–8 years in performance management, analytics, finance, strategy, or consulting
- Strong analytical capability (Excel/BI tools; ability to translate data into insight)
- Experience working with cross functional KPIs and enterprise dashboards
