The Hydrovac Assistant is an essential part of the Baranko Environmental team, supporting operations through the safe handling of materials and performing non-destructive, high-pressure water excavation. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the ability to perform hands-on work in physically demanding, outdoor conditions. The Hydrovac Assistant is expected to deliver high-quality service while representing the company in a professional manner.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Assist with the setup, daily operation, and upkeep of hydrovac equipment
- Perform excavation and material removal activities in a safe and controlled manner
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
- Assist and dispose of excavated materials in accordance with environmental regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in hydrovac and vacuum truck operations, construction, or a related field preferred
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds and perform sustained physical labor
- Ability to navigate rough terrain or tight spaces on active job sites
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment.
- Required to have a reliable form of transportation to and from work
