We are seeking a dedicated Farm Hand/Equipment Operator to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work in farm operations, equipment handling, truck driving, and maintenance tasks essential for the smooth functioning of our farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience with various farming practices. This position offers an opportunity to work on a large row crop operation in a dynamic environment focused on progressive farming.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment
- Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop management activities
- Perform equipment repairs and basic maintenance as needed
- Supervise or assist with other farm workers to ensure efficient operations
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations involving heavy machinery
- Assist with loading/unloading supplies using forklifts or other heavy equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience with farm machinery operation, and equipment repair
- Mechanical knowledge including use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to farming activities
- Strong work ethic with the physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Prior experience with farming or agriculture is highly desirable

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
