What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Bar Bisous?
Key Responsibilities
- Restock bar supplies (ice, glassware, garnishes, liquor, beer & wine) before and during service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout the shift
- Clear, wash, and polish glassware and bar utensils as needed
- Assist with waste management and cleaning (floors, stations, spills)
- Support bartenders and servers by anticipating needs and responding quickly
- Help with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Support compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service standards
- Communicate clearly with team members to promote efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Previous barback or similar bar/restaurant experience preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
- Ability to stand, lift, and move quickly for extended periods
- Team-oriented, positive attitude under pressure
- Comfortable working late-night weekend hours (Fri & Sat shifts required)
- Basic knowledge of bar tools and beverage service a plus
