General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Clean, sanitize, and polish kitchen surfaces, including counters and floors, in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area at all times.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Properly store dishes, equipment, and utensils after air drying.
- Remove trash and maintain sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors as scheduled.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to support efficient meal service operations.
- Safely lift and move up to 50 pounds as required.
- Perform duties in warm and humid kitchen environments.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative and professional manner.
- Maintain accountability for policies and expectations outlined in the employee handbook.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Dining Services Supervisor.

- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate a reliable and punctual attitude.
Physical and Work Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to tolerate frequent walking. Ability to lift, bend, reach, and push/pull loads required. Must be able to tolerate rapid fluctuations in workload.
- Must possess adequate sight and hearing, with or without assistive devices, to meet job requirements.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
