REPORTS TO: Administration- Campus Director/Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all facility areas, including the resident apartments and kitchen, as assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner consistent with Baptist Village's philosophy.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous Experience: Experience in caring for the geriatric population is a plus.

But not required.

Skills and Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, kneel, push, pull, and twist using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time. Must be able to tolerate frequent walking.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Dusts all tables, chairs, desks, cabinets, lamps/light fixtures, wall vents, handrails, ceiling fans, baseboards, and blinds.

2. Checks sofas and chairs for debris and vacuums, dust, and spot cleans them.

3. Vacuum carpet, sweep, and mop floors. Spot cleans carpet.

4. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms. Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers.

5. Cleans the insides of windows and mirrors.

6. Cleans and waters plants.

7. Empties trash. Take trash from the staging area to the dumpster. Takes recyclables to

8. Cleans inside and outside of washers/dryers. Empties the lint traps.

9. Checks for marks on the wall.

10. Identifies potential maintenance issues.

11. Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical/ cleaning solution use and stocking of housekeeping carts.

12. Perform homemaking chores (cleaning resident apartments, restrooms, and common areas, making beds, emptying trash, etc.).

13. Help with laundry duties (washing/drying, folding/hanging, and putting away).

14. Support and enhance the image of Baptist Village by displaying a kind and positive attitude in customer relations.

15. Other duties as assigned.
