Job Summary: Ensure the general well-being of residents through the delivery of high-quality service in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of assisted living and that complies with applicable State Laws and regulations. This person is responsible for training team members.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the training, supervising, and evaluating staff to ensure the provision of high-quality service to residents in a manner that is consistent with Assisted Living.
- Monitor and maintain records reflecting the resident’s physical and mental condition. Report significant change orders from the physician.
- Document medications supervised and noted resident’s response. Follow through with verbal medication change orders from the physician.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve care and to correct problems, identifying patterns, trends, or single clinical events that warrant evaluation.
- Upon resident admission, review physical assessment, physician orders including medication and treatment, and educate support personnel in appropriate care.
- Review, coordinate, direct, and educate support staff on resident care, and assist the RCF Administrator in evaluating support staff performance.
- Participate in all training functions and in-service sessions.
- Count all Schedule II drugs weekly and review medication charting per physician orders.
- Educate support staff on all safety, infection control, and universal precautions.
- Demonstrate sound assessment skills, therapeutic communication techniques (verbal and non-verbal), listening abilities, and positive customer relations skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be correctly licensed in the state of Oklahoma.
- Experience preferred in LTC or Assisted Living setting.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
