Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance for the accurate and timely billing of services.
Job Requirements:

1. Two years’ experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations and electronic billing, familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT codes

Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, ability to problem solve and work independently, ability to be flexible and work in a multitask environment, knowledge of computers and related software and a consistent professional appearance and demeanor which lends itself to significant people interaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Functions of the Job:
1. Responsible for learning and understanding the account receivable software, PCC.
2. Responsible for keeping updated on billing issues including Medicare and Medicaid regulations and other related matters
3. Needs to work with and assist Account Receivable 2 and others to insure the proper and timely billing of services
4. Maintain and update all required authorizations for MLTC, insurances, and hospice, along with 3559’s for Medicaid.
5. Assists admissions with insurance verification on all new admits.
6. Assist residents and families with inquiry regarding resident funds.
7. Post all physical check and cash deposits to resident accounts and prepare bank deposits for both BHNRC and Judson Meadows.
8. Responsible for all long-term care insurance billing.
9. Do all billing for Judson Meadows, private pay statements and Medicaid billing.
10. Participate and assist in the admissions process and Medicare coordination
11. Monitor and analyze all receivable related information for accuracy
12. Keep Business Office Manager appraised of any issues in regard to billing and problems with collection of account receivables
13. Prepare year end reports for audit and cost reporting
14. Assist in completion of yearly audit as directed

1. Other duties or special reports as directed which aid the CFO in the operation of Baptist Health System
Equipment to be used:
Computer terminals and printers, fax and mail machines, shredder, telephone, calculator, security safe and other general office equipment
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
- Must be able to sit for long periods up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to ascend/descend up to 3 flights of stairs
- Must be able to hear alarms and intercom pages
- Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, perform functions containing math and any other skill as necessary to perform functions of the job at a minimum 12th grade level.
Working Conditions:
Job requires working in a typical office setting, minimal driving to include bank deposits, seminars, etc.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
