Position Title: Maintenance Specialist – Part Time
Position Summary: Provide repairs and upkeep for all agency buildings and grounds. The position is part-time with a maximum of 16 hours a week. Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Pay Range: $15 – $24 per hour.

Position Location: The position will be located on the Baptist Children’s Home campus in Carmi, IL and will have office space in the Hathaway Administrative Building. Travel to all agency locations will be required
Position Accountabilities:
- Maintain buildings in a safe and attractive condition and perform minor repairs.
- Maintain landscape and appearance of property, including mowing lawn
- Maintain all equipment in good working condition
- Assist in Agency owned vehicle maintenance
- Assist with preparing maintenance budget
- Assist with other projects as assigned
- Cleaning of the office’s common and public spaces including restrooms
- Evaluation will be annually in the following key areas:
- Maintenance of property and grounds
- Operation and upkeep of equipment
- Acceptance of supervision and feedback
- Being a self-starter when small repairs and upkeep are needed.
- Operate within the program design and all agency policies and procedures
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated skills in small engine mechanics, electrical wiring, air conditioning and heating, and construction
- Self-initiating work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to supervise and teach children who work in the work program
Salary : $15 - $24
