What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Counselor position at Baptist Children's Home and Family Services?
Position Summary: Provide quality counseling to children, individuals, couples and families within the designated area of service delivery. The position reports to the Pathways Program Manager. This is a 35.5 hour a week full-time position, Monday through Friday. The position will require 1-2 days a week of evening sessions after 5:00 p.m.to accommodate the needs of working adults and families. A specific schedule will be written upon hire. The position is eligible for employee benefits. Some travel to other office locations may be required.
Salary Range: $41,000 – $53,000

Position Location: The position location will be determined at hire.
Position Accountabilities:
- Provide counseling addressing mental, physical, and spiritual concerns related to the client’s treatment plan goals.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the theory and practice of individual, group, couples and family counseling.
- Maintain clinical proficiency with treatment planning, clinical notes, and documentation practices.
- Build and maintain reciprocal relationships with other agencies providing care to children, individuals, families.
- Work as a part of a collaborative team of Counselors and Social Workers in the care of children and families in the community.
- Work with churches or other Christian organizations, schools, or outside groups, when requested, to offer conferences, trainings in areas of expertise or professional development workshops.
- Become a provider for major insurance plans to accept reimbursements for professional services.
- Attend Clinical and other agency meetings when requested to do so.
- Assist in special projects as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Licensed in Illinois as a LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC
- Ability and willingness to work independently
- Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office products and electronic Healthcare record systems
