Position Summary: Provide custodial care for children in a Christian environment.
The position is a 7 consecutive day live-in position with the following 7 consecutive days off duty. The position is full-time and eligible for benefits. The position will be supervised by the Baptist Children’s Home Campus Program Manager.
Position Location: This position will be located on the Baptist Children’s Home campus in
Carmi, IL.
Pay Range: $35,600 – $41,300

Position Accountabilities:
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the theory and practice of residential child care and
guidance. - Collect information and feedback regarding the needs/wants of users of child care services;
use this information in planning and evaluation - Develop and maintain positive behavior management, spiritual guidance, and educational
and social support systems for residents; keep accurate records of progress, report progress
as requested. - Build and maintain reciprocal relationships with community, social service agencies, and
denominational units for the benefit of residents. - Maintain assigned residential facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Manage resources to provide high quality care within approved budget.
- Provide for daily needs of residents: food, clothing, shelter, transportation, etc.
- Perform special tasks as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum level of high school diploma or GED and 21 years of age or older.
- Capable of providing leadership and spiritual guidance to each of the residents according to
her specific needs. - Ability to recognize natural teaching opportunities and act upon them.
- Physically able to fulfill all responsibilities of the position.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Meets and maintains all State, Licensure, and Agency eligibility requirements to drive
residents and possess required State Driver licensure endorsements.
Salary : $35,600 - $41,300
