Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Site Principal, the Intervention Teacher supports students by leading intervention classes, i.e., math, reading, and writing. The Intervention Teacher will develop lesson plans and provide direct instruction for intervention students. In addition, the Intervention Teacher will provide data for SST and 504 meetings and communicate with parents, teachers, and staff regarding progress or further interventions needed. The Intervention Teacher may also assist general education teachers with selecting appropriate curricula and developing and implementing appropriate strategies with students.
