The Talent Management team plays a vital role in Banner Health's mission by serving as the operational backbone for enterprise-wide talent initiatives. As a Talent Management Specialist, a typical day involves balancing multiple priorities across program execution, resource development, and stakeholder support. You might start the day by working on deliverables for the succession campaign, then shift to designing resources and building content for digital courses. Mid-day could involve responding to HR Partner questions, updating Workday hubs and partnering with the learning team on course creation. The afternoon might be spent reviewing the project plan for upcoming deliverables, analyzing quarterly talent data for trends, building dashboards, and sending communications to stakeholders. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate across teams, maintain standard operating procedures, and ensure all talent planning tools and resources are current and accessible. Desired experience: 4 years of hands-on HR program management experience to operate with the autonomy and expertise this work demands. Demonstrated experience with Succession Planning & Talent Planning, designing, building, and delivering comprehensive talent programs and resources. POSITION SUMMARY This position may drive a targeted program, support multiple projects, or have an influential role within a larger, complex program that aligns to the organization's strategies. Programs may include talent development, talent planning, or workforce pathing and skills. Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends solutions to achieve our Talent Management strategies. Works collaboratively within a diverse team to successfully plan and execute cost-effective projects/programs. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Assesses and analyzes organizational problems and offers creative problem solving for the program. Utilizes needs assessments, data analysis, benchmarking and evidenced-based best practices to drive decisions. 2. Develops and maintains program standard operating procedures and organizes tools and resources to support the program. Discovers and organizes logistical needs for learning venues/events and technical needs to achieve efficient program delivery. This includes identifying elements and requirements for meeting sites (in-person and virtual), locations, travel schedules, materials and related areas. Considers and implements the various reports/data that will be needed for Talent Management. 3. Creates and manages project plans with key milestones to ensure deadlines are met. Anticipates issues, escalates and helps solve problems. Shows effective time management by prioritizing key tasks and driving timely execution of deliverables. Effectively leads meetings and provides status reports and action items to Talent Management team. 4. Responds to needed changes through the lens of relentless improvement, embracing the iterative process, as needed. Assists with change management and communication strategies. Creates a feedback mechanism on how the programs are meeting the needs of the business. 5. Creates and executes communication plans and templates to various audiences through established Banner protocols and systems. Provides comprehensive and personalized responses to team member questions. Effectively presents and provides updates to leadership and oversight teams on program status and initiative progress. Implements classroom management to maintain organization, psychological safety, and a productive learning environment to promote active participation. 6. Collaboration: Collaborates across the team and organization to stay informed, share lessons learned, provide support to promote an inclusive culture and deliver a cohesive product to the broader organization. 7. Develops and designs appropriate resources in support of programs and projects. This may include participant, facilitator and discussion guides, PowerPoints, job aids, FAQs, videos, eLearning courses, and self-paced development materials aligned with Banner branding. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a knowledge of talent management principles, business, learning and development, or human resources as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor s degree in business, finance/accounting, human resources or related field. Two years of progressively increasing responsibility in learning and development, human resources, or related fields. Ability to exercise good judgment and be sensitive to team member needs while balancing the goals of the company. Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills; attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently with critical thinking skills. Must demonstrate strong personal computer skills including extensive experience with office desktop applications. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in people leadership. Possess a knowledge and understanding of learning and development, adult learning principles, leadership development models, facilitation skills, talent planning, and workforce pathing.
