Banner Environmental Services is seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to expand our client base and drive revenue growth across New England's environmental services market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with general contractors, property managers, and facility owners, and developing our presence in commercial, educational, healthcare, municipal, and residential markets. This position requires a self-motivated, relationship-focused individual with strong sales acumen and knowledge of the construction and environmental services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in asbestos abatement, selective demolition, and mold remediation services across all six New England states
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, construction managers, facility managers, property owners, and other key decision-makers
- Conduct prospecting activities including cold calling, networking events, trade shows, and industry association meetings
- Qualify leads and coordinate with estimating team for proposal development and project walkthroughs
- Track sales pipeline and maintain accurate records in CRM system
- Participate in weekly Bid Meetings to provide market intelligence and client feedback
- Collaborate with estimating and project management teams to ensure seamless project handoffs
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact business opportunities
- Develop and execute territory-specific business development strategies
- Represent Banner Environmental Services at industry events and maintain professional network
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Strong background in construction, environmental services, or related industries preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new accounts
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with ability to engage C-level executives and decision-makers
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle and bidding processes
- Knowledge of environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA) and safety requirements is a plus
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage territory effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout New England region
