Consumer Quality Assurance Specialist - Ridgeland, MS

General Position Statement:
This position is responsible for reviewing and obtaining all information required to ensure regulatory and policy requirements are met; obtaining documents from third parties required to complete the loan package; working with Loan Assistants and Officers to coordinate loan closings and making sure that all required documentation is obtained in order for the loan to be sent to Document Processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review Pre-Closing loan packages for all regulatory and policy requirements.
• Requesting hazard and/or flood insurance and order Preliminary Title Opinion from the attorney.
• Ensure that HMDA information is correct.
• Assist the attorney to ensure that Closing Disclosure is correct.
• Communicate with Loan Officers/Assistants requesting missing information or documentation to ensure that all information necessary for document processing has been obtained.
• Review applications accurately and consistently in a timely manner and request additional work from supervisor, as time allows.
• Attend training seminars and continuing education programs to maintain knowledge of regulatory policy requirements.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Serve as back up for Quality Assurance Specialist Lead.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Participate in the Bank’s High-Rewards Connections program.
• Make referrals to Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years’ experience working with real estate loans.
• General computer and typing experience Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Driving, and occasional travel, as needed for business purpose.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
