A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BATTING INSULATION INSTALLER

As a Batting Insulation Installer, you create a barrier of comfort between living space and the outside elements. Each day, you receive your work orders, load the necessary equipment, and travel to the job site. Ensuring an efficient day of work, you prepare for the installation by setting up the needed equipment and clearing the site of any objects that could get in the way. Safety is your top priority and you are committed to protecting yourself and everyone around you.

You perform air infiltration detailing, then hand install insulation using the envelope theory. To ensure high-quality work, you install caulk, foam, stops, chutes, and blockers where needed. To finish your work, you clean the job site and return all equipment to the truck in an organized manner. Throughout your day, you enjoy communicating with your team members and other tradesmen. You feel great about the work you do to keep people warm in their homes and other buildings!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to pass a pulmonary and respiratory physical
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English

A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge about construction and insulation blowing machines would be a plus. Do you work well independently and as part of a team? Are you passionate about safety? Do you have good problem-solving skills? Are you professional and respectful in your demeanor? WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time insulation installation position typically works a range of 40-55 hours per week.
