JOB DESCRIPTION Date: November 2025Subject: Position Vacancy - Program Associate to support the Bank Street Education Center (the Ed Center) in various portfoliosSummary Position: Bank Street Education Center (the Ed Center), a division within Bank Street College of Education (the College) created to support the College's systems-level, public impact work with school districts, is currently seeking a program associate to support project teams across the Ed Center's project portfolios.Key relationships: The Program & Creative Media Associate will report to the Executive Director, Early Childhood and work closely with their project teams.Responsibilities: In collaboration with their supervisor and project teams, the Program Associate will be responsible for the following:

Logistics & Operations:Collaborating with the Project Manager and Project Director to manage the administrative elements of regular meetings with stakeholders, including scheduling, preparing agendas, handouts, Google Slides, and necessary materials, and following up from meetings as needed;Creating, iterating on, and finalizing Google Slides, handouts, agendas, and related materials for professional learning sessions; Providing in-person and online operations support to professional learning sessions, including managing logistical details and platform guidance in preparation for, during, and after sessions;Supporting in graphic design and technological production, ranging from material design and creation, copy editing, drafting social media posts, video editing, document creation, recording, troubleshooting, etc., upholding the Ed Center brand. Maintaining internal budget tracking across projects, including managing invoices and reimbursements, liaising with team members and consultants, managing internal budgetary tracking systems, etc.;Supporting in drafting and executing consultant contracts, managing consultant invoices and payments; Maintaining inventory of supplies and materials in the office and electronically in collaboration with the Operations Manager; Maintaining functional and supportive organizational systems and processes, including managing the G: Drive, codifying and revising existing and new processes, etc., andPerforming related tasks as assigned. Creative Media & Design: Supporting the creation of newsletters and social media posts, including drafting and revising content, and helping to finalize newsletter content for release;Design visually engaging materials, slide decks, and learning assets that enhance the clarity and accessibility of professional learning content across portfolios, as needed.Develop short instructional videos and motion graphics to support blended learning modules, ensuring alignment with Bank Street's visual identity and tone.Edit and produce high-quality video content, including interviews, tutorials, testimonials and classroom examples, for use in Canvas and other digital platforms.Manage and organize multimedia assets (graphics, photos, video clips) to ensure consistent branding and easy access across portfolios.Collaborate with content design and portfolio teams to translate complex educational concepts into clear, compelling visual narratives.Codify and repurpose existing materials across diverse portfolios to establish scalable resources for professional learning and business developmentSupport and develop Program Associate's across portfolios by leading training sessions on the latest creative technology and design toolsDesign presentation decks and materials for the VP for use with funders, trustees, and other constituents Project Coordination:Executing on project timelines in support of the overall project (e.g., via calendaring, scheduling, etc.);Providing communications updates and support internally for project team coherence;Supporting data collection processes across projects, including performing data entry and maintaining data collection systems; andPerforming related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Skills & Knowledge:Bachelor's degreeBackground in education, nonprofit organizations, and/or secondary education development preferredStrong ability to manage multiple workstreams, track timelines, coordinate logistics, and maintain clear systems across teams and projects.Proficiency with Google Suite, Canva and/or Adobe tools, and video editing software; ability to design visually engaging materials and multimedia content that align with brand standards.Experience:Experience working with diverse and/or historically deprioritized student populationsStrong communications skills (email, writing, in-person)Strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to perform independentlyAttention to detail and ability to identify issues and inconsistencies across tasks and assignmentsAbility to manage multiple projects and shifting prioritiesProficiency in Google Suite platform and graphic/video design tools such as CanvaDemonstrated a learners stance with willingness to receive and incorporate feedback as well as learn new or different skills and systemsAbility to work both remotely and in an office environmentFlexibility in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiativeAbility to pick up and move up to 30lbsAbility to travel throughout Tri-State area for in-person sessionsAbility to travel domestically for in-person conferences.Experience:Approaches all work with a team-first attitude, anticipating needs, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive, solutions-focused environment.Brings curiosity and flexibility to evolving tasks, using design thinking and attention to detail to create clear, engaging, and effective materials.Embraces feedback, seeks opportunities to build new skills (especially across media, design, and operations), and adapts to shifting priorities with enthusiasm and care.Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000Application information:
