Qualifications:
- B.S. in Accounting or several years’ experience in a similar accounting role preferred
- Ability to reconcile all types of accounts and resolve outstanding items
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong follow-through to ensure timely completion of assignments and duties
- Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office systems
- Experience with Banking core systems (Fiserv preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile various general ledger and deposit accounts; research and resolve outstanding items in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain decision models for setting daily positions at the Federal Reserve and correspondent banks; buy and sell federal funds as required, posting corresponding general ledger entries
- Serve as backup in balancing the general ledger and clearing related non-posts
- Prepare reports and ensure accurate submission to the Federal Reserve Bank (i.e. FR2900)
- Assist with preparation of quarterly Call Report, monthly Board reporting, and other management reports as requested
- Prepare allocation entries for posting to the general ledger
- Review and approve accounts payable invoices; prepare payment checks for distribution
- Perform other duties as assigned
