What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deposit and ACH Operations Specialist position at Bank of Little Rock?
We are looking to expand our Team with the position of Deposit and Core Operations Specialist! Are you looking for a great opportunity at a community bank? This role plays a vital part in our organization.
Daily Operations Tasks
- Transaction Processing: Handle chargebacks, ACH/item returns, NSF processing, large dollar return processing, stop payments, and end-of-day wire processing.
- CIF File Maintenance: Perform updates such as address changes, contact info, account type/status changes.
- Verification and Transfers: Verify domestic and foreign wires and process ACH, Bill Pay transfers.
Core Administrator Tasks
- System Management: Manage the Jack Henry 20/20 system, including annual releases, and end-of-year processing.
- User Access: Set up, terminate, and reset passwords for users on the JHA core and ancillary systems.
- System Issues: Open cases on the Jack Henry client portal for troubleshooting and resolution.
- Query Execution: Run iSeries queries and handle data download requests.
Additional Tasks
- Backup Roles: Act as a backup for the Network Administrator and Funds Transfer Specialist roles.
- Network Troubleshooting: Assist with network issues in the absence of the Network Administrator.
- User Access Reviews: Conduct periodic user access reviews across systems.
- Committee Participation: Serve on various committees like the Incident Response Team and IT Steering Committee.
- Product Implementation: Help in testing and implementing new products and/or work on team to help bring new products to market.
Essential Functions
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit/stand for long periods, monitor screens, and use a telephone.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in reading, speaking, and comprehending English.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data.
Relationships
- Communication: Maintain professionalism and effective communication with staff.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks.
- Advisory Role: Provide guidance to the Information Security Officer and COO.
Qualifications and Education
- Education: High school diploma required; some college or banking coursework preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of bank operations experience, preferably with community bank software like Jack Henry.
- Skills: Preferred skills include Query/400 or similar database management.
This role requires a combination of technical skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to work across different areas within the organization.
