Back Waiter, BANK Café And Bar - LT Napa Partners, LLC

Essential Functions:
Our back waiters provide essential support to our Floor, Bar, and Kitchen teams during service. Candidate will be responsible for complete set-up of dining room, from cleaning and configuration of tables to setting up all plates, cleaning duties and service utensils for service.
During service, the back waiter will assist Bartenders and Servers with table maintenance, ensuring tables are marked correctly with utensils and glassware in a timely manner. Candidate should be comfortable behind the bar and in the dining room and be able to efficiently complete tasks in a busy environment.
The back waiter will assist with food running, so you should be comfortable explaining food and interacting with guests.
You should be efficient, and open to learning and suggestions. Please be prompt, reliable, and always carry a gracious and hospitable attitude. You will be working in a small team, and so you should enjoy teamwork.
Qualities required:
- High-End Restaurant/Hotel experience preferred.
· Have experience in a Fast-Paced Dining Establishment, Hospitality and/or Customer Service.
- Be friendly, sociable and enjoy interactions with staff and guests, and be a team player.
- Effectively communicate well with guests.
- Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player with or without reasonable accommodation.

List of responsibilities:
· Greet guests with a friendly smile.
- Assist guests and respond to guest requests in a friendly and courteous manner Prepare trays, plates, utensils, napkins, etc. for service.
- Assist captain during service with table maintenance (clearing, marking).
- Set and reset tables during service.
- Stock buss station.
- Running food as needed.
- Explain served dishes to guests.
- Promptly remove dishes as guests are finished.
- Replenish beverages as needed.
- Setup/Break down coffee station. Thorough cleaning each day.
- Responsible for polishing wine glasses, water glasses, and silverware.
- Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner.
· Maintain quality service throughout the shift. Keep server station stocked, beverage flowing, areas clean, and tables bussed.
- Restocking service area with cleaned and polished glassware and silverware.
- Abide by all laws and procedures pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
· Help maintain the cleanliness of the Server Station, bringing dishes back and putting them in the buss-tubs, buffing and polishing, and taking and keeping items and putting them back to the proper storage places.
· Full hands in, full hands out. Be efficient and productive.
· Break down and reset dining room for next shift.
· Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to physically handle glassware racks, silverware racks, buss-tubs, food items, etc., and lift and carry same from shelves and otherwise transport up to 50 pounds to every area of the restaurant or storerooms on a continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per LT Napa Partners LLC/Westin standards.
- Wear an approved uniform that is clean and pressed at all times. Shoes should be free of dirt and keep polished at all times.
- Be clean for each work shift or keep facial hair neat and trimmed. All associates with long hair will have it properly restrained before each shift.
Other
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with BANK Café And Bar/LT Napa Partners, LLC rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the restaurant facilities. Employees who violate restaurant rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
