Customer Service Representative Part-Time
Position Overview
Bangor Publishing Company is seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Customer Service Representative at Print Works in Presque Isle, ME. This role provides essential front-line support to walk-in customers and telephone callers while assisting with printing orders, classified advertisements, newspaper subscriptions, and general administrative services.
This is a 25 hour a week position with a schedule of 9:00AM-2:00PM Monday through Friday.
This position has a pay range of $16.50-$18 an hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via telephone, email, and walk-in traffic.
- Provide photocopying, faxing/email, and laminating services for walk-in customers.
- Assist walk-in customers with newspaper subscriptions, classified advertising, obituaries and in-memoriam notices.
- Assist customers with print orders. Write and price print orders as needed. Review orders with customers to confirm specifications and expectations.
- Provide backup coverage for the Print Works telephone line.
- Data entry of print invoices into our accounts receivable system.
- Use software to process print orders, classified advertisements and subscriptions
- Maintain knowledge of products, prices & deadlines for print shop and newspapers.
- Provide administrative support across departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1 years of customer service experience required.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Google Workspace, data entry software).
- Strong communication, math, spelling, and grammar skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
