Treasury Business Analyst

Banesco USA
Miami, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 10/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/30/2026
Position Summary

The Treasury Business Analyst partners directly with the Treasurer to improve productivity and efficiency across the Treasury function by redesigning processes and revamping documentation and controls. This role gains hands-on exposure to the core functions managed within Treasury — interest rate risk, liquidity management, and investments — through close collaboration with every member of the team. Beyond process improvement, the Analyst spearheads projects aimed at generating cost savings and new income opportunities and supports business units in developing and launching new products and services — giving this role meaningful visibility both inside and outside Treasury.

Primary Job Duties

  • Process Redesign & Documentation: Partner with the Treasury Manager, Sr. Liquidity Analyst, Investment Portfolio Manager, and Investment Accounting/Treasury Operations to map current processes, identify inefficiencies, redesign workflows, and revamp and standardize documentation and procedures across the unit.
  • Cross-Functional Learning & Collaboration: Build first-hand working knowledge of interest rate risk management, liquidity management, and investment portfolio management by collaborating directly with each function; serve as a connective resource across the Treasury team.
  • Savings & Income Initiatives: Identify, structure, and spearhead projects aimed at generating cost savings or new income opportunities for the bank.
  • Business Unit Support & New Products: Partner with business units to support the development and launch of new products and services, contributing analysis, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Pricing Support: Support pricing analysis for deposit and loan products, working with relevant stakeholders on rate-setting and profitability considerations.
  • Research & Continuous Improvement: Research and apply AI tools and other resourceful approaches to improve processes, analysis, and reporting across Treasury; bring back and share better ways of doing things.
  • Reporting & Materials: Prepare clear, well-organized documentation, presentations, and reports for the Treasurer and other stakeholders.
  • Special Projects: Take on ad hoc initiatives and cross-functional projects as directed by the Treasurer.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience in the Banking industry.
  • Demonstrated experience redesigning or improving business processes and documentation.
  • Proficient using AI tools to research and improve ways of working — non-negotiable.
  • Expert-level Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills — must-have.
  • Highly organized and structured, with strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Resourceful and curious, with a genuine interest in learning how things work and identifying better ways to do them; willing to learn.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across functions and with business units.
  • Familiarity with banking/treasury concepts (interest rate risk, liquidity management, investments) is a plus, not required.
  • Must be fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and being a proactive learner.
